Friday the 13th

Hello my adoring fans!
Well, Friday the 13 is here. I’m not superstitious although sometimes I think I’d like to believe in that kind of thing even though I know its all folklore and coincidence. Today was actually one of the best days I’ve had in a while. I set up a new multimedia projector at our church this morning which was a challenge but fun! I’ve never done that before but I managed to figure it out in spite of the two computer illiterates that showed up to help. They were very ready with advice! I can only thank God for them otherwise I think I might kill or severely injure the one of them(they’re father and son and the son is my least favourite person…ever!).
You might consider my escapade on my way out of the church parking lot friday the 13th bad luck(if your into that stuff). Our church is less than a block away from the local hardware store and they sometimes borrow our parking lot to unload truck loads of lumber or gyprock or what ever. On this particular day while I was in the church they left a pallet of gyprock not to far behind my car and when I went to back out I didn’t see it and I have a pretty nice dent in the back right corner of my bumper! I was not impressed!!!
My mom was driving the van today and on her way home the power steering stopped working. She and I were joking earlier and we are now really hoping that Dad doesn’t total his truck on his way home from work.
But tonight I’m leading the youth activity and guess what we are doing. We are going to a cemetery(I hope that doesn’t offend anyone). My old youth pastor did it with us. We have a questionnaire to fill out (e.i. oldest person @ death, youngest, most recent death, earliest, who is buried next to…) and then there was devotion about what we have to do before we die and that death can come to anyone, not just older people. Pray that it goes well. I have never “done” a youth group activity before.
All I have left to say is “Oh My WOW” I can’t believe how long this is. My updates are usually short. Oh well…
Have a great weekend!

Tim
