Youth Edge/Petra/Remembrance Day

Hello my adoring fans!
Sorry it’s taken so long to let you peek into the goings-on of my life. I can’t even say I was all that busy but it’s my blog and I can update it when I want to.
Guess what! Last weekend (3-5) I was at Millar’s youth retreat, “Youth Edge”, and they had some special guests there. They invited Jon Schlitt(lead singer) and Bob Hartman(lead guitarist) from the Christian rock band, Petra to lead the worship in the sessions! It was pretty cool. I had never heard of them before that weekend but since a lot of people were talking about them I learned I bit about them. I talked with them some over the weekend and it was cool to see how humble and down to earth they were. AND I hugged them both! Thinking back, it’s awesome that I hugged two rock stars from the 70’s and 80’s!!!!
One of the girls that was there took my picture with the two of them and I think she is going to put on her website. If she does I’ll put the address on here so you can see it if you want.

I was going to put something on here on Remembrance Day but I never got around to it.
I ended up singing Letters from War at the Legion’s Remembrance Day service and at my church yesterday. Lots of people cried. Mostly women but a few men were in tears including the only guy actually in the army. It made me think that they must have friends that died in the service. I can’t imagine what our country would look like if all those people hadn’t given up there freedoms, livelihoods and in so many cases their very lives.
I want to dedicate this entry to all the Canadians who have died for our country and all the other soldiers who have sacrificed for their country.

Poor duckie.

Hello my adoring fans!
Guess what! Not 20 minutes sfter I last updated I was on my way to a music and drama thing by NBI and I hit a little duck on the grid road. It was so sad! I felt so crummy. that,s the first thing I've killed while driving. I know it may sound dumb but I really felt bad about it.
Well The variety night went well. It was so funny! There's a guy that comes to youth group sometimes and He's really into hard core rock and metal really intense stuff like that. He can't stand pop or classical stuff like what I did. Any way, He came up to me afterwards and said "Great job Tim. You could sing on a Disney movie." It was just so funny to hear. He wanted to give a compliment even though he didn't like it. I thought it was pretty cool.
After it was all over one of the elderly ladies from town asked me if I would come and sing at the Senior's Club some time. I think it is so cool to see God opening doors for ministry. I was also asked by one of the ladies that goes to our church(who has a hand in the legion) if I would sing "Letters from War" at the town Rememberance Day Service. I can't Wait for that. I LOVE that song.
I am so thankfull that God gave me my musical abillities and I love being able to share them with others and show the love of Christ in a way that touches so many.

Tim

Waves of Grace

Hello my adoring fans!
Well, school is underway. I know you all were saying that ages ago but because of the Honey farm I am a little behind ;) Oh well...
I decided that I'm going to sing "Waves of Grace" for the Variety Night tomorrow. I first heard it at Pine Ridge teen camp this past summer. I really love the lyrics; it's kind of a prayer of submission, giving in to God and letting Him wash you with His grace.
It is so amazing to think that God did what He did for us. Being crucified was the most painfull and excruciating death that he could have died. It still seems unreal.

What's Up

Hello my adoring fans!
So how is everyone?
I'm doing pretty good. This Friday I am singing in the school's Variety Night. It is like a talent show to raise money for the school band. I'm going to sing Mark Shultz's "Letters from War"(one of my favorite songs) and I havn't decided what my second song will be.
The only other interesting thing going on in my life is that I am taking a life guarding course. I really enjoy it. I'm thinking about getting a job at the Aquatic Centre in Meadow Lake and I can use my life guarding at bible camps.
So how many people actully read this thing? If you read this leave a comment. Id like to know If Karina and Tinaya are the only ones or not.

Low Spots

Hello my adoring fans!
Well life just got a little better... I am done with the Honey house!!!
last friday we finnished the last day of extracting and Dad just finnished cleaning and packing everything away for the winter.
This has been a hard summer but I don't think that I'd not live it if I had the choice. I learned alot of things, like trusting God to help me through times when I didn't think that I could keep going, to always do a good job at all the jobs I do, to always have a good attitude about everything even when it's hard(and trust me, sometimes its hard) and many other things; big and little.
Life really is good isn't it! even when things are going really sucky and you're really hating everything, God will help help you through and things will get better. It's interesting how you usually learn something during low spots too.

Booooooooooooooring!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello my adoring fans!
Shortly after I created this blog I realized how uninteresting my life actually is. Oh there a the little things like starting up a life guard course and almost being done at the bee farm but really, my life is uneventfull.
I shouldn't complain though. I'm only 16! Things will get more interesting as life progresses.
I think that that is part of the reason why so many teenagers leave home so early and drop out of school. They get restless and want more excitment instead of being thatnkfull for all the things that God has given them. All to soon our childhood slips away and there is nothing that we can do to regain it.
Enjoy it while it last!
And for those of you that are already adults, "Have fun anyway!"
